2016 Vibes, 2025 Impact: Building Denton Real Estate on Relationships, Not Just Results
A look back from Chrissy …
If you were on social media in 2016, you remember the vibe.
Murals mattered. Filters mattered. Kids were little. Life felt loud, colorful and community-driven. And for me, that season wasn’t just about raising kids or posting photos — it was about planting roots.
This year, as I look back at 2025, I realized something important:
Not much has changed.
Sure, the kids are older. The business is bigger. The platforms look different. But the why behind my work, especially my work in Denton real estate, has stayed exactly the same.
A Look Back: 2016 Vibes
In 2016:
Family road trips were everything
The kids were little, and I was full-on mom mode
Instagram and Facebook were my creative outlet
I was building my sphere of influence
Murals mattered. Filters mattered.
I proudly used #DentonRealtor (long before it was trendy — I started in 2009)
I won Top Producer
I chaired the Eureka Park build, Denton’s first handicap-accessible park. That project changed me. It built friendships, opened doors, and gave my work deeper purpose.
I bought a convertible
Went to lots of galas
And I ended the year volunteering because that’s always what fills my bucket most
I didn’t know it then, but that season set the foundation for everything that followed.
Fast Forward to 2025
Here’s what has changed:
I’ve grown older (and wiser 😉)
Our kids are now 17 and 20, and they’ve turned out pretty incredible
We’ve officially visited all 50 states together as a family
My business has more than doubled
I’ve spoken on big stages
I bought a commercial building
And here’s what hasn’t:
I’m still the top agent and original Denton Realtor
I’m still community-first
I still believe relationships matter more than transactions
I still believe impact matters more than numbers
Which brings me to what really defines 2025.
Community Impact at a Glance (2025)
When I started Sold by Chrissy Mallouf, I was just coming out of the banking world, searching for a career that would let me bring my love for people together with my professional background.
Real estate did exactly that.
It gave me a platform, not just to sell homes in Denton, but to serve this community in meaningful, measurable ways.
Below is a snapshot of what that commitment has looked like recently.
Education Access & Scholarship Funding
Organization: Denton Public School Foundation (DPSF)
Five years ago, I made a commitment to fund scholarships for graduating Denton ISD seniors.
Total commitment: $60,000
Annual contribution: $12,000
2025 marked the final year of this pledge
That means five consecutive years of documented scholarship awards, directly supporting students pursuing higher education — especially those facing financial barriers.
Completing this pledge is one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of.
Food Security & Hunger Relief in Denton
Organization: Denton Community Food Center
For the past seven years, I’ve hosted ChrissyGiving — an annual event that started as a simple client appreciation gathering and grew into a large-scale community food and fundraising drive.
ChrissyGiving 2025 Impact:
$1,000 in direct cash donations
492 pounds of food collected
Several hundred dollars in grocery gift cards donated
These contributions provide immediate relief to food-insecure families and reflect the power of community when people come together with intention.
Supporting Survivors of Domestic Violence
Organization: Denton County Friends of the Family
Supporting families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault is deeply personal and deeply important to me.
My involvement includes:
Promoting and participating in Adopt-a-Family holiday programs
Mobilizing community members to donate toys and essential items
Serving as a visible advocate and supporter year-round
This work is about dignity, safety and hope — not just during the holidays, but always.
Youth Development & Student Enrichment
Supporting Denton’s youth has always been a priority.
Over the years, I’ve been honored to contribute to:
Denton High School Football fundraising (meals, uniforms, and equipment)
Fundraising efforts that sent Borman Elementary 5th graders to science camp
Serving as a judge for Guyer High School Incubator Pitch Night, mentoring student entrepreneurs and innovators
Investing in students is investing in Denton’s future.
Public Education & Civic Leadership
Over several years, my team and I have donated more than $75,000 in time and resources to Denton ISD schools and programs.
This includes:
Supporting New Teacher Orientation for 300+ educators
Longstanding partnerships with education-focused nonprofits
Serving on a Denton ISD bond committee, helping raise awareness around school funding, safety and programs
This is civic engagement in action — showing up where decisions are made and voices matter.
Community-Building & Local Economic Support
Some of the most meaningful moments don’t involve stages or checks — they happen neighbor-to-neighbor.
One of my favorite traditions is our annual Watermelon Giveaway:
Purchasing 100 watermelons from a local Denton farmer
Giving them away to neighbors and clients
Supporting local agriculture while creating connection and joy
Small moments. Big impact.
Denton Real Estate, Built on Relationships
I’ve built my real estate business the same way I’ve built my life in Denton:
By showing up
By giving back
By choosing relationships over transactions
The Denton community has shown up for me time and time again.
And I’ll continue to show up for this community — with my time, my resources and my heart.
Looking Ahead
So if you’re watching…
Stick around.
Let’s see where I am in 2036!
Because if the past is any indication, the future will still be community-first, impact-driven, and proudly Denton.
